Most commercial pet foods are made with rancid animal fats and moldy grains. Not just the cheap foods either, the most expensive foods are no better. The pet food industry is an extension of the human food industry and an outlet for them to turn a profit on food materials not fit or safe for human consumption. Dead and dying animals are used.

The FDA won’t identify the US supplier of tainted Chinese wheat gluten responsible for killing hundreds of pets. Why not? Maybe because the same supplier is used for human food, too. It’s the first salvo in the Homeland Security war over food safety.
